Walk In Truth

The tile of my message is: "Walk In Truth".
Graduates, the word of God for you today is found in II Timothy 2:15, which says:
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth." Whatever position you may hold,
or how educated you may become, as you go out into the world to achieve your future,
your ultimate goal should be to please God by studying His word,
so that you can live in truth, and to teach others, also.
The word of God contains all the things that pertain to life and godliness,
because God's word is true. In John 17:17, Jesus asked God the Father
to sanctify us through His truth, because His word is truth.
Jesus said, in John 8:31-32 that if we continue in His word,
then we are His disciples indeed, and we shall know the truth, and the truth shall make us free.
The word of God is true because God does not lie.
Numbers 23:19 tells us: “God is not a man, that He should lie;
neither the Son of man, that he should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it?
or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?” God will do whatever He says He will do,
and He will bring to pass whatever He promises.

You must be good soldiers for God, and not get entangled in the evil affairs of this world.
Romans 12:1-2 says: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
You cannot fulfill God’s plan for your life if you conform to the ways and the things of this world.
If you act like, talk, agree with, and become one in accord with this world,
you cannot please God. You must be transformed.
You must renew your mind by continually studying the word of God.

Be careful what you hear and what you see. Guard your heart.
There are a lot of teachings that are the philosophy of men,
but they do not contain the truth or the wisdom of the word of God.
There are a lot of songs in this world that sound good, but their words are deadly:
killing, stealing, and destroying the very soul of man.
There are a lot of things that are being shown at the movies, on TVs, videos, and computers
that are not from God. They are deceiving and enticing. Some are from the pit of hell.
I John 2:15-17 tells us: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:
but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.”
The world, and the things in this world, will soon pass away.
But, if you do God’s will, you will live with Him forever in heaven.

We are living in a time now, when the world is beginning to call wrong right, and right wrong.
Isaiah 5:20-23 says: "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil;
that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!"

This is the time that we are living in now. This is the world that you have to contend with.
It is calling evil good, and good evil. The world endorses abortions, homosexuality,
same-sex marriages, and legalized drugs. It rewards the wicked for doing wrong,
and it condemns us, and is trying to take away our rights to speak against such things.
You cannot embrace or condone sin, because sin kills, steals, and destroys.
You must speak the truth in love. It is only God's love, and the truth of His word,
that can set us free from sin. His love and His truth give us everlasting life with Him in heaven,
and give us an abundant life here on earth. People of the world do not respect or honor
the word of God anymore. They are leaning and depending on their own understanding.
They are wise in their own eyes. They are self-righteous in their own sight.

Finally, graduates, I encourage you to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God, so that you can stand
against the tricks and the deceits of the devil. Renew your minds with the truth of God's word,
and obey His word. Trust in the Lord with all your hearts.
Don't lean or depend on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways,
and He will direct your paths. Don't be wise in your own eyes,
fear the Lord, and depart from evil. Study the word of God continually,
pray always, and have faith in God. Know this, that you can do all things
through Christ who strengthens you. You are more than a conqueror
through Jesus who loves you. With God, all things are possible.
The Lord is your light and your salvation. You don't have to fear anyone.
He is the strength of your life, and you don't have to be afraid.
